From the Bleachers
It's good to be back from Christmas. We had a great trip to Seattle, and it was wonderful to spend the time with Levi and family. You can see pictures of our trip here.
Like the rest of the world, I have been left breathless with all of the death and destruction that has befallen the people of Indonesia. It's hard to really contemplate 150,000 lives snuffed out in an instant. I really have no words that can express my feelings. I find myself looking at the pictures and watching the news footage over and over again in an attempt to gain some sort of connection and perspective. It's a hard thing to do. I haven't even begun to think about it in theological terms until this past Sunday. Our Senior Minister Dr. Tom Robinson gave one of the most incredible sermons I have ever heard. In fact I think it's so powerful that I have made it available for you to download and listen to by clicking here (it's 10mb so it might take a little bit to download). Tom's sermon help me deal with the question of why God would let something like this happen.
