Made in the USA pt.II
There are two fascinating documentaries made recently about the power of Wal-Mart. One produced by Frontline (a PBS show), and another produced by CNBC. There is also good article about the two documentaries, and how each one takes a different approach to the whole "Wal-Mart" phenomena.
You can watch the Frontline documentary on-line which is pretty cool. This topic has returned to my thoughts because of watching the CNBC documentary last night and my friend Jana who is blogging about it now.
On another note check out Raspberry Cordial and Cozy Blog for some great thoughts on an incredibly important topic. The methods by which the products we buy are marketed to us have an impact on how we see each other, especially women....read their blogs and you will see what I mean.

Frontline is probably the last good source of reliable information. They are not totally unbias of course, but they are always questioning the assumptions. Two other great frontline programs which you must watch are: An Ordinary Crime (found in the criminal justice section) and Ghosts of Rwanda which I own (can be found in the foregin affairs section)
Anyone else seen Wal-Mart's internet advertising blitz trying to refute these documentaries? walmartfacts.com
