Numbers 4-10
So I have a top ten list of things that I have done (not to be confused with blessings). Number one is meeting and marrying my wife, number two is my son's birth and his everyday existence, three is my baptism and my calling into Urban youth work. The 7 remaining "bests" continue to change and evolve as my experiences change and evolve. Numbers four through ten prepare to be upended again!
I will catch the red eye on Sunday night and arrive in NY at 4:00 am where I will be home in time to see Levi and Allison just as they are waking up. The morning is Levi's best time, (Allison's...not so much), but the reunion will be sweet especially since this is only the second time I have been away from them for more than a day for the last 11 months. I should take this opportunity to give a HUGE shout out to my wife for being nothing but excited for me to go on this trip. Thanks babe for giving me the peace of mind I needed to go on the trip. I love you, and more importantly I owe you BIG TIME!
Just a recap:
Thursday - Sunday: Golf at a Palm Springs Resort - Free (to me anyway)
Monday Morning: Seeing the family again
Wednesday Night: U2 for $50
I know what you are thinking, I am a lucky...
It's going to be interesting to see what happens to my number 4-10 list after all this. As it stands right now the list is as follows:
4. Scuba Diving in Jamaica (twice) on my Honeymoon
5. Seeing U2 for free under the Brooklyn Bridge
6. The Grander of God Tour (1994)
7. BarnYard Concert ACU Homecoming 1997
8. MNF (1986 Cowboys Vs Redskins - Scab Game)
9. Trying to Surf (2002 - hardest thing I've ever NOT done)
10. Summers at Pepperdine (1984 - 1990)
Addendum 9:21 p.m. pst
I also bought the Ultimate U2 collection with my iTunes gift money....445 tracks of awesomeness! I have been jamming that in my rental car. Which by the way is a 2004 burnt orange Mustang. Yeah the guy at Enterprise told me I could have either the Kia Sadona or for $10 a day more I could have the Mustang. It was an easy decision.

Did you happen to blog about seeing U2 in Brooklyn? Just seems like that must have been surreal.
