Too Funny
I NEVER support, encourage, or give attention to forwards that I get in my e-mail inbox. But I recieved a forward yesterday that linked to a video that turned out to be a worthy exception to my rule. I won't tell you why you should click on the image above to see what I am talking about, but you won't be disappointed.

that is so funny...we watched it several times...why are kids so funny?!
i wanted to send you an article that made me pretty upset this weekend, and really has more to do with your "fringe" post. they say it has nothing to do with racism, but it looks differently to me. i try not to let my anger get the best of me here, but i realize that there are so many of our teens that have no idea what a real issue race still is...people argued in the article that the reason for this situation is how far removed students feel from civil rights issues, but i disagree that we are removed from it...it is also easy to get even more angry that this is coming out of a high school that is 94% white and extremely affluent.

i really appreciate your boldness and honesty on this topic. we can't reach kids who truly do feel isolated when we have such a skewed idea of what that looks like.
Tine...
Thanks for the link. I have read it and am in the process of reflecting on it. Look for a post about it soon.
