BCS Champs

I am still rooting for Texas, but I don't think they have the experience, crowd support (the Rose Bowl is about 50 miles from USC), or athletes to beat USC. It's going to be an amazing game, but USC is going to win in the end.

It's going to be a good game, but I am not sure it can be as good as the Penn - Fl.State game that is going into overtime because the stinking kicker just shanked a 29 yard fg. That is all that kid does at practice is kick - he should be great at it!
Don't count the Horns out just yet. I coached one of those boys, and besides being a thug he is a stud of an athlete. I still have to support the boys of SoCal, but I really just hope it is a great game.

What a sad, sad prediction this was Jason. Just had to jump on the ESPN-fueled "USC could dominate any team in the history of college football and maybe even the '85 Bears" didn't you?

The game lived up to its hype - which is often times rare. I'm just proud of my cousin Vince, and that he remembered some of the things I taught him.
Hook 'em Horns!

I WAS WRONG.

Obviously. What a great game and amazingly poor clock managment at the end by USC. But it wouldn't have mattered becasue Vince was unstoppable. What was Reggie Bush thinking trying to do that latteral in the first quarter.

In any case I was glad that UT won, and I did get to watch Joe's anguish at witnessing UT become national champs. The game was awesome and it was made even more enjoyable by the fact that we got to watch it with Joe and four other really good friends. Football, especially championship football, is best watched in the company of friends.

Anyway, looking forward to the superbowl...hopefully I will get to .500!

I'm glad you can admit when you've been wrong. But, it's ok, the horns are number one and all is forgiven.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Great to connect again, even if it is only in cyberspace.

I'd love to hear more of your U2 stories, and yaneverknow, maybe we'll get to see them again in four or five years.
