Grand Jury Summons
My number has been called, I go for jury duty Monday morning. I am supposed to report to 100 Centre Street at 9:00 am (maybe I will see Sam Waterston, mom I will tell him hi for you!) This is actually the third time I have been called. The first time I got it differed, and I got the dates mixed up on the last jury invitation. So I think I got stuck with Grand Jury assignment as punishment. Everyone I talked to at church about this said that Grand Jury duty is much more interesting than Jury duty, however it can require up to a month of service. YIKES!
Hopefully I can put it off for a little while longer, at least until Zeke is older than two weeks. Of course our problem in NYC is that if this guy can go for Jury duty, than I am sure my excuses will fall woefully short.
Anyone out there served on a Jury? What kind of trial was it and how was the experience?

Never fear ...as soon as they find out you're a minister, I'll bet you don't get picked. I didn't get picked because I taught at a Christian school. I loved the Bloomberg article. Good for him.
I have so many things I want you to tell Sam, but just be sure he knows I'm in town this week! Now that he's the new DA he may let it go to his head and not act interested in seeing me...but he'll cave if you tell him I'm almost bi-lingual.
