Teachable Moment
Erin and Jeff:
You guys are my hero's this week. Your punishment for Sam and Silas did what no spanking, time-out, or grounding could ever do? It taught them something about poverty, justice, and conservation all at once. Your ability to find teachable moments for your kids astound me. Way to go.

Jason- You have just given us a BIG boost this week- thank you so much. I have to tell you, though, that the creative punishment really was Jeff's idea. I was thrilled to go along with it because I thought it was such a great idea, but I am certainly not worthy of being J-Wild's hero of the week. Maybe Jeff, but not me. And, really, the boys, too. I'm so proud of them and what they learned from this experience. I'm pretty sure they won't be turning the sprinkler on any time soon.
