Voting
I know some people who don't vote. Some are lazy and others are so cynical that they see voting as nothing but a waste of time. I find it incredibly arrogant to remove oneself from the process for those reasons.
The students at Prairie View A&M value their right to vote. Despite ignored pleas for a early-polling location to be opened up near campus these students, 1,000 strong, marched for over two hours to get to their only availible polling place in the county seat. They walked seven miles in the afternoon on the only freeway that would take them there.
Apparently the predominately Republican district Waller County only made one early-polling location open for the Democratic primary. That meant the students of PVA&M had to travel seven miles away from campus in order to cast their early vote (you must vote early to caucus or your vote is only valued at 66%). You can read about the shady details here.
I find it incredibly inspiring that 1,000 college students would walk seven miles to cast their votes for this election. Kudos to the organizers who created a peaceful yet powerful protest about the importance of equal opportunity voting. The students at Prairie View A&M are young people who know how important the right to vote is and are willing to make a stand for it. They could teach some people I know a thing or two.
Now we just need to get some fair vote counting in New York City.

Incredible image! Hard to believe the suppression of the black vote still goes on so blatantly. Thanks for bringing out this story.
