I have a meatty topic to put out there, but I haven't had the time to formulate my thoughts very well. So, someone sent me a link to this picture. The photo was used on a site to talk about the whole "In God We Trust" issue. It hasn't been doctored (you can see for yourself here I had a definate reaction to the picture, and I am curious about your reaction. Check back later for my meatty topic, until then...

I guess you're suppose to see a cross in the flag which some might take as God's blessing on America and the myth that America is somehow the new Israel. But what I is see an imperial flag trying to veil the truth. The truth is that Christ, not America, is the Lord who is sovereign over all else. Thankfully as the picture shows that not even the greatest of empires can hide the truth found in the cross.
How very Greek! I am sure they would be chuffed to have a little of their flag in yours.
