Is there any kid in the world who is in more trouble than this one? Not only did he throw a party that's going to cost his parents $20,000 but he went on Australian TV and gave this interview. Which is subsequently being put on blogs (like this one) all over the world. It's pretty funny to see the news anchor go from being kind of cool with what happened to ready to give the kid punishment herself. In all seriousness, if this was your kid what would you do!?

This wouldn't be my kid. If I had a 16 year old who was evidently troubled I wouldn't leave him alone at home and go on a 'holiday.' It is doubtful that he turned so rebellious all of a sudden, they were asking for trouble. Kids I have worked with who have a long history of getting into trouble often have parents who make excuses for them or are in denial of just how bad the situation is, and have probably raised him to expect life to be all pleasure and self-gratification.
