Blue Bell

I love living in NYC, truly the greatest city in the world. I doubt anyone could come up with a city anywhere in the world that could top it. However, there is one thing that NYC is completely lacking, and that is Blue Bell Ice-Cream. The small town of Brenham, TX that makes Blue Bell has a lock on the best ice-cream period. Nothing comes close

All my Northeastern friends have no idea what they are missing. Trying to explain the goodness of Blue Bell Ice-Cream to someone who has never had it, is like trying to explain what a baseball game in Yankee Stadium is like to someone who has only seen a t-ball game.

That's right I am saying that our Ben & Jerry's, Häagen-Dazs, or Breyer's is like watching t-ball. Don't believe me? Check out this article in today's New York Times and perhaps our own great paper will convince you.

That article just made me completely homesick. I may have to spring for the dry ice-packed delivery!

Wish I could have managed to bring you some from Texas!!

Bah. You Texans are all alike. Everyone thinks that their homemade, fresh, local ice cream is the best.

I grew up with your sweet wife and found your blog while surfing...we now live in Texas and ADORE Blue Bell ice cream! Of course, those people in Searcy would try to convice you that Yarnell's is the one to pick, I'm with you on the Blue Bell!
Love to read your blog...give my love to Allison!

No doubt, Natalie and I crave Blue Bell daily. There is nothing here is Michigan that can compare.

Of course, we get to eat lots of ice cream right now because Natalie has to get plenty of calcium for little Magna-girl. That means we've eaten more than our fair share of ice cream over the last 21 weeks!

I'll be the first to say that the one thing that texans are full of, it's BS. But i will also agree that Blue Bell is THE BEST ice cream. Thats all i gotta say.

I'd like to know why The Juice thinks Texans are full of BS. You can't just say things like that without a sufficient explanation.

Yes, Bluebell is fab. It's true. And NYC is fab as well. I love the Big App. I really do. I wish I could visit more often.

But, my dear friend J-Wild, there are puh-lenty of reasons why a person might want to live elsewhere, Bluebell being one of them. Let's see...what else? Oh yes...more bang for your buck in regards to living quarters, having rush hour be ten minutes instead of fifty, being within a ten-minute drive of all your pals, being able to see the sun rise or set, grass, trees...stuff like that.

NYC definitely has its perks...especially with the Isbells and the Hays living there. ;)

"how do you bury a texan??"

"you give them an enema and give bury them in a shoebox."
